Maria Petrosyan

Maria Petrosyan is a Principal Lawyer at MB Legal, an attorney and licensed mediator with over seven years of professional experience in legal consulting, corporate and business law, litigation, legal risk assessment, legislative drafting, and legal reform. She is a member of the Chamber of Advocates and Chamber of Mediators.

Maria received her legal education at Yerevan State University, graduating with honors from both the Bachelor’s and Master’s programs. She has also pursued academic and professional development in the United States as a recipient of a U.S. Department of State scholarship program.

Before joining MB Legal, Maria worked extensively across both private practice and the public sector, advising businesses and organizations on corporate matters, commercial contracts, regulatory issues, disputes, and complex legal risks. Her experience includes work on matters involving corporate governance, project finance, compliance, state regulation, and international arbitration.

Maria has also been actively involved in judicial and legal reform processes in Armenia, with a particular focus on arbitration, mediation, and access to justice. In this capacity, she has contributed to legislative and policy development and served as Armenia’s National Correspondent at the European Commission for the Efficiency of Justice (CEPEJ).

At MB Legal, Maria advises clients on corporate and business law, commercial transactions, contractual and regulatory matters, dispute prevention and resolution, and complex legal and strategic issues.

Alongside her legal practice, Maria serves as Executive Director of an educational and cultural foundation. She is also actively engaged in international professional platforms and participates in international moot court competitions as a coach, arbitrator, and mentor.
